immeasurable..

It's amazing as we travel this road of Adoption, God sends little messages along the way that reminds us He is crafting a beautiful story of Restoration for us and for our little Jonesy.

Ran across some beautiful words that was expressed in a painting that I hope to hang in our home as a Bold reminder of the God we love and follow. He listens intently to our tiny prayers and only beckons and draws dreams from our heart of hearts just so He can say.. that's beautiful...but I can do Oh So Much More!

We are waiting for what cannot be measured nor imagined...

We're adopting!

So much weight seems to fall with those words. Unknown and excitement, fear and clarity all mixed up to create a beautiful journey. There is really no magical sense we came to that we woke up one day and said "Hey, let's adopt!" After 12 years of marriage we remember our dating conversations that would flutter around about children and we both were passionate about adoption. Really no question. 


Over the years our hearts have grown deeper with a compassion to look after the fatherless. As in James 1:27 God tells us to look after orphans and widows in their distress..and we have felt the weight of the growing numbers of babies of all ages with out forever homes.


So why do we write. With all humility we do not write because we have things to say. We write because God has something to say. We only hope as you follow that you could be encouraged in our attempts to raise children to see that out of their hard places, God has a plan and purpose for them and loves them deeply. We write because we know we will not do this perfectly, but in this journey of tiny successes and bittersweet failures you will also see God's amazing grace and His heart for the fatherless.
